Upcoming Meditation & Kirtan Events
In Flagstaff & beyond
Kirtan at the Temple of the Divine Mother
Above Sacred Rites – Downtown Flagstaff
Each Thursday (Except on 2nd Fridays — see NAZ Yoga Center gathering below) we gather in the Temple of the Divine Mother to chant, listen, and return to the heart through sacred sound.
Kirtan is a devotional call-and-response chanting practice rooted in the bhakti tradition of India. No experience is needed. You don’t have to be a singer. You don’t even have to chant loudly. You’re welcome to simply sit, listen, and let the sound move through you.
This space is intimate, heartfelt, and alive. Some nights are joyful and rhythmic, others are soft and meditative. The intention is always the same: to remember the sacred presence that lives within and around us.
Come as you are.

Monthly Vedic Meditation Course (4-Day)
MARCH Vedic Meditation Course – 4-Day Training
Flagstaff, Arizona
This four-session course is a comprehensive introduction to Vedic Meditation — an effortless, mantra-based meditation technique practiced sitting comfortably with eyes closed for 20 minutes, twice daily.
Unlike concentration or guided meditation, Vedic Meditation allows the mind to settle naturally toward quieter states of awareness. Through the use of a personalized mantra, the nervous system releases accumulated stress and fatigue, allowing clarity, creativity, and resilience to emerge.
Over four 90-minute sessions, you will learn:
• The mechanics of effortless mantra meditation
• The science of stress and nervous system recovery
• The stages of meditation, including dhyān and bhāvatīt dhyān
• The cosmology of mantra and sound
• How to establish and sustain a daily practice
This course includes personal instruction, detailed theory, practical application, and lifetime follow-up support.
Whether you are completely new to meditation or looking to deepen your understanding, this training offers an authentic and structured foundation in the Vedic tradition.
Sliding scale tuition available.
March 7th, 6:30-8:00pm
March 8th, 6:30-8:00pm
March 9th, 6:30-8:00pm
March 10th, 6:30-8:00pm
Kirtan at NAYC
On the second Friday of each month, we gather at Northern Arizona Yoga Center for an expanded evening of mantra, music, and meditation.
This gathering blends traditional Sanskrit chanting, storytelling from the Vedic and yogic traditions, and periods of silence. The atmosphere is welcoming, grounded, and devotional — open to longtime practitioners and newcomers alike.
Kirtan is a form of bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion. Through collective sound, we move beyond the surface of thought and into a shared field of presence.
All voices welcome. No experience needed.
Note: There is no Temple kirtan the Thursday preceding this event.
